Daily Gratitude News
Wow, when I asked for questions for the Preview
call last week I got some good ones! If you didn't
hear the call, it's posted on the web site at
Preview Call
That questions covered a lot of different topics
but the theme that came up again and again was
"why is what I'm doing not working?"
People were having problems with finances, career, health,
relationships, and life purpose. Everybody has some
parts of the success puzzle but they were missing
some of the pieces and their life wasn't working the way
they wanted.
That's why I love teaching "Science of Getting Rich."
It's complete. There are five pieces to the success puzzle
and we cover them all over 16 weeks. Vision, Faith,
Purpose, Gratitude and Action. We also cover how to
use your will to apply these pieces properly.
Warning - this is a spiritual program. It's not about just
"getting" it's about giving and being of service. It's not
about competition, it's about creation and cooperation. If
you want to learn tricks to "beat the competition," this is
not for you. But if you want to do what you love, serve the
world and be richly rewarded for it, this is the program.
Imagine how that would feel! This program inspired the
Gratitude ebook and this newsletter. Register for this
program today because it starts in only two weeks.
You'll be trying it out by the end of the month.

Baby Steps
“You can accomplish the biggest task in your life
by disciplining yourself to take it just one step at a time.”
- Brian Tracy
One of the things that can keep us from feeling grateful
is being overwhelmed by the tasks in front of us. Let's
face it, most of us have more to do than we can
accomplish but we try to do it all anyway. Then, when
we fail at being super human, we don't feel grateful,
we feel inadequate. There are really two parts to this
problem - too many tasks, and tasks that are too big.
Either one can put us in overwhelm.
Many great teachers have written about the "too many
tasks" problem and they all have the same general
solution. Figure out what's most important and do that
first. Stephen Covey has his four quadrants of "important"
and "urgent", Brian Tracy has his 80/20 rule for prioritizing
tasks and so forth. When we give ourself permission to
NOT get everything done, and we work on the important
things, then we can feel grateful at the end of the day.
How about the really big tasks? For example, I'm writing a
book. It seems like a lot when you look at the whole thing
at once - 15 chapters, 200 pages, cover art, publishing,
reviews, endorsements, publicity, Amazon launch. And it
is a lot! So what do you do?
Break it into baby steps. Years ago the French built a road
across the Sahara Desert and because of the blowing sand
that obscured the road, they marked it with big black oil
drums every 5 km. That happened to be just the distance to
the horizon so you could always see where you've been and
where you're going. The result was a trip of almost 1,000 km
one oil drum at a time.
For my book project, my "oil drum" is one page per day.
That doesn't seem nearly so intimidating, does it? Each
time I finish a page, I can be grateful, not overwhelmed.
And as we know, gratitude is what brings us what we want.
The key is to find successes to celebrate. First prioritize
your day and allow yourself to not do it all. Celebrate
what you do. Break things into baby steps and celebrate
each one. Live each day in gratitude. You will have a lot
to be grateful for!
I'm grateful I got this Gratitude newsletter written!
