Is it spiritual to want to be wealthy? Is there a way to
create a life of prosperity that doesn't look like just
chasing money for money's sake? Is is OK to want
to have nice things, to travel, to have the home of your
dreams, to not ever have to worry about money again?
Is that selfish? The answer changed my life. Find it here:

"Heart Intelligence"
"Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life."
-- Proverbs 4:23 The Bible
It's amazing that in almost every culture on earth,
the heart is referred to as the center and wellspring
of our lives. We talk about our head and our heart
in the same breath, as if the heart was also a thinking
center. We say that we "feel in our heart", as if the
heart was the source of intuition.
Of course, the heart's just a pump for our blood, right?
All this other stuff is just metaphorical, isn't it?
Well, no, actually it isn't just metaphorical. New science
is showing some pretty amazing properties of the
heart, and there's a direct link from the science to
gratitude! Now we can show why gratitude has some
of the benefits that it does.
I'm going to run thru the science really fast, but at the
end I'll give you a resource if you want to know more.
Stay with me, because I'm going to give you a valuable
tool that you can use right away to eliminate stress.
Here's what they have found.
The heart has neurons, just like the brain. The neurons
seem to act like they do in the brain and constitute a
separate source of intelligence in the body. The heart
communicates with the brain - in both directions.
Sometimes the brain listens to the heart, and this is
not just spiritually and metaphorically good, it's
biologically good! The study of this activity has spawned
a new branch of science, called neurocardiology.
The heart is an electric pump, and each beat is about
2.5 watts of electricity which creates the strongest
electric field in the body, and it extends beyond the
body and can be detected by sensitive instruments.
Some scientists believe that it can be detected by
other hearts, too! That might explain a few things.
The emotions of the body can be detected in the
heart's rhythms. When we are stressed in any way,
the beating is "incoherent" or random. If you looked at
the waveform, it would look like static or noise on a
radio between stations.
But when you're peaceful, relaxed, unstressed and
calm, the waveform smooths out and you see a nice
smooth, coherent waveform. Measurement of brain
activity show the brain waves respond to the heart
and in a short time will "entrain" or synchronize
with the heart rhythm. Your whole body begins to
beat in this smooth, synchronized manner. Not
only do you feel good, but this is great for your
health because it strengthens the immune system.
Here's a 60 second exercise to get into this
coherent state. There's only 4 steps.
1. Sit up straight, get comfortable.
2. Breathe deeply for 10 to 20 seconds, imagining
that you are breathing IN thru your heart, and OUT
thru your abdomen. This may take a little practice,
but stay with it.
3. Now bring up the memory of an experience that
you associate with the feeling of great love or
appreciation. Perhaps holding your new baby,
cuddling with your sweetie, or seeing a beautiful sunset.
4. Feel the feeling! Don't just think about it, feel it.
Let the feeling enfold you and rest in it for as long
as you'd like. The deeper you feel the feeling, the more
completely your stress will fade away.
Notice how your body feels as you come out of this
exercise. That's the feeling of coherence, and you've
created it with gratitude! What are love and
appreciation but forms of gratitude? Science now
confirms that gratitude is good for you.
You can use this simple tool anytime you're feeling
stressed. "Out of the heart flow the springs of life."
This is only a small part of what science has discovered.

every one of you!
