"I Can See Clearly Now..."
I've always loved that 1972 Johnny Nash song 'cause
it's really what we all want, isn't it? Clear vision,
straight shot, no confusion. But things get in the way. And the things that tick us
off the most are usually our own stuff. "Why did I do
(or not do) that?" "Why am I always so (fill in the blank)?"
Do you want to know why? I can show you how to
find out. Once you know what's going on you can
change it. Otherwise you'll just get blindsided over
and over again. And that's no fun!
We know the guilty party - you're getting sandbagged by
your self image. It's impossible for you to act differently
until you change it. That's why Bob Proctor did one
whole program just to show you how to make a new
one - one that supports you and your dreams. It's
called "The Winner's Image" and it's time you had one!
Here's the catch - I've only got 6 copies at the 50%
off price. When they're gone, they're gone and there
ain't no more. You can tame that inner prankster
on the cheap, but only if you're in the first six.
One Simple Shift
"At times our own light goes out and is rekindled
by a spark from another person. Each of us has
cause to think with deep gratitude of those who
have lighted the flame within us."
- - Albert Schweitzer
Did you ever wonder what gets people started on
major change? Joe Vitale came up with a really
valuable answer to that question this week.
Joe was asked what was the very first thing he
did that got him from homeless to six-figures, and at
first he couldn't remember. But when he did, he came
up with a great lesson for all of us.
He was miserable, broke and his self esteem was in
the pits, but something he read challenged him to find
something good, something right, that he had done.
Like most of us in that situation, he didn't have much
experience with that. You know how we like to condemn
ourselves for screwing up. But he gave it a try.
First one little thing. Hey, that felt good! Then another,
and another. The more he appreciated himself, the more
he had to appreciate. He felt encouraged, and his life
started to change.
Look at the Schweitzer quote that started this article.
We don't have to depend on someone else to light
that flame within us, although that's good, too. We can
light our own flame, with appreciation. That's one step
to a new self image. Then we can do the same for
others.
It's no surprise that Joe's friends all think of him as a
very encouraging and supportive person. He formed a
great habit of looking for the good, first in himself and
then in others. How does that feel? Pretty good!
Once again we see the power of gratitude. So when
you're doing your daily gratitude list, write down a few
things about yourself. What do you appreciate about
you today? What did you do right? Feel the joy of
appreciating yourself. Make it a habit.
I wrote my newsletter today. Good for me!
I'm grateful for all of you,
Wes

Spiritual Solutions to Life Problems
I love "Success: A Spiritual Matter". It's 220 pages
of interviews with successful people who have
learned and applied many of the same lessons
that I have. I know there's good stuff in there
for you. Joe Vitale's got more of his story in here, too.
